8th Ave Washout

The 8th Avenue project was brought about by a washout that had made running trains over this stretch unsafe. The tracks were removed for about an eighth of a mile so trucks could drive on the right-of-way and replace the culvert. Once that was done, the roadbed was re-graded, new ties laid, rail replaced, spiked, and trains are now rolling over this area once again.

And why was it we did all of this again?

AFTER

Oh yes.  I
remember now!

BEFORE

(Or was it the other way around?)
